Personally, I think it is great that our president tells it like it is, and isn't afraid to share his opinion about matters such as this one! In fact, this is one of the reasons why I am such a huge supporter of President Obama. He's a likable guy who isn't fake or phony like other politicians who we've come accustom to dealing with. When he does an interviews, he comes off as one of us. When he gives a speech, he makes those of us who are watching and listening feel like he's talking directly to us, making each and every one of us feel like we're important.

So when President Obama was asked his opinion about Kanye West and the antics he pulled the other night at the VMA's (when he went onstage during 19 yr old Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for best female video, practically ripping the microphone out of her hands, going on a rant about Beyonce's video being the best of the decade, implying Taylor Swift shouldn't have won the award) unlike most political figures, President Obama didn't avoid the question, or give us a phony response in order to avoid giving his critics something to whine and complain about. Instead he gave us his honest opinion, stating "I thought that was really inappropriate," then adding, "He's a jackass."

President Obama hit the nail right on the head on this one!

"Porsche Girl" Nikki Casouras Died In Tragic Accident, Photos Leaked

It was Halloween, back in 2006, just a few short months after 18 yr old Nikki Catsouras had graduated from high school. After being caught with a cigarette in the house, she and her parents got into an argument, and as a punishment, her father decided to take away her car keys.

“Nikki broke a house rule, and we had a disagreement, and I took her car keys away" said Christos Catsouras, Nikki's father.

Later that day, after her father left, Nikki did something that her family says was completely “out of character” for her. Without permission, she grabbed the keys to her fathers Porsche 911 Carrera; not only a car that she had never driven before, but a car that is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds, and she left with it.

According to the state highway patrol, at 1:45 pm Nikki was traveling at 100 mph on State Route 241, near Lake Forest, California. As she was driving, she clipped another car, and lost all control of the vehicle. Unable to regain control, the car sped out of control all the way across the lanes, over the median, and finally stopping on the other side of the highway, when it slammed into the cement tollbooth, in broad daylight.

Nikki Catsouras was dead on impact.

Her mother and father, Lesli and Christos Catsouras, were completely devastated. Their beautiful 18 year old daughter was dead. Her body so badly disfigured in the accident, it was beyond recognition.

As Nikki’s parents grieved for the loss of their eldest daughter, their two younger daughter’s grieved as well, trying to cope with the reality of what happened to their older sister, whom they looked up to, and admired.

Before the family could even begin to figure out a way to move on from this tragic event, they were faced with something even more horrifying than they could've ever imagined…

Graphic photos of their daughter’s horrific accident had been leaked to the public, on the internet. Photographs that contained images of their daughter’s partially decapitated head had been plastered over thousands of websites for the world to see. At one point there were over 16,000 websites containing the graphic pictures, and people went as far as emailing pictures to the family, and even threatening to hang the pictures on the locker belonging to Nikki’s sister at school.

Christos Catsouras had even received an email, deliberately sent to him as a way to force him to see the pictures. It was sent to him by someone posing as a business lead, but when he opened it, it contained the graphic photos of his disfigured daughter, and along with it, a taunting message.

The family banned their two daughters from the internet, and had them pulled out of school, to home school them instead, in fear they would be shown the pictures.

The once beautiful and full of life Nikki Catsouras, is now known on the internet as the girl in photo, who they call "Porsche Girl".

John McCain Has No Clue What the Price of Gas Is, Yet He Wants to Ease the Pain At the Pump?

Martin Wisckol: "When was the last time you pumped your own gas and how much did it cost?"

John McCain: "Oh, I don’t remember. Now there’s Secret Service protection. But I’ve done it for many, many years. I don’t recall and frankly, I don’t see how it matters.
I’ve had hundreds and hundreds of town hall meetings, many as short a time ago as yesterday. I communicate with the people and they communicate with me very effectively."

The other day, on June 24, Senator John McCain was in California, at the John Wayne airport, about to head off to a fundraiser in Newport Beach. As he was getting off of his airplane, he decided to take a quick call from Martin Wisckol of the Orange County Register, for a brief telephone interview... and although the entire phone call probably only lasted for about 15 minutes, the Senator McCain probably isn’t going to be hearing the end of it any time soon...

Throughout his campaign, Senator John McCain has talked quite a bit about the price of gas and the affect it’s been having on the American people. He often emphasizes on his commitment to working towards a long term solution, and just the other day stated “I understand the difficulties and challenges that it poses for the people”. Back in April, during a speech in which he laid out his economic policy, he deeply expressed his concern for the issue, and even proposed a 3 month “gas tax holiday”, and has been adamant about it ever since...

Despite what John McCain so persistently argues, it's hard to believe that he really even cares about the "pain at the pump", when you find out what his response is to a question about the last time he pumped gas, and how much it cost...

Martin Wisckol: Under your presidency, can you offer any ideas on what we’ll be paying for gas in two years?

John McCain: It’ll be less because we will have been moving forward with measures to become oil independent – independent of foreign oil. I’m very confident that the American people can do it.
We didn’t get into this situation we’re in yesterday. So we’re not going to get out of it tomorrow. But Americans want a little relief. That’s why I support a gas-tax holiday. And if you don’t think it’s important to some people, ask someone who owns a couple of trucks and is paying 24½ cents tax on every gallon of gas.

The point is that we need to have clear plan of action and we will have a clear plan of action. We will become energy independent.

Martin Wisckol: Thank you very much for taking the time to talk with me.

John McCain: Thank you. It’s a pleasure…. Hang on just one second. I think the last time that I … I’ve been on the campaign trail for so long I don’t remember when I last filled up my owngas tank, but I certainly did for many, many, many years and I understand the difficulties and challenges that it poses for the people of California and my home state of Arizona.

Today Bill Gates will transition out of his day-to-day role at Microsoft, to spend the majority of his time focusing on global health issues, and education work for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Although he will remain Chairman, he will only take part in select projects, chosen with Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's CEO.

This week, Gates stated, "I'll miss doing the work here. This is a big milestone."

For future investments, Gates says he's only interested in "dramatic" scientific breakthroughs... "If somebody says to me 'OK, we can do new cookie stores and we can make zillions', I have no interest in spending a minute on that," he told his home town newspaper, The Seattle Post-Intelligencer. "I hope somebody goes and does that, but that's not for me."

Naming the company for its mission of providing microcomputer software, Bill Gates established Microsoft with friend, Paul Allen, back in 1975. Five years later they landed a deal providing operating systems to IBM. Microsoft went public in 1986, and the next year the soaring stock made Bill Gates the youngest self-made billionaire, at the age of just 31 years old.
